Cylinder Actuation Systems

Aeon Kempster has extensive experience in the actuation of Knife Gate Valves for open/close operation and for modulation duty. Pneumatic actuation can vary from a simple double acting cylinder to extensive specialisation incorporating limit switches, solenoid or positioner controls to suit any environmental or hazardous conditions. Cylinders can be spring return to open or close and can be supplied with manual or pneumatic override and extension arrangements.

Open/Close Duty

To prepare a quotation, Aeon Kempster requires full details of the medium, duty and confirmation of the available air pressure.

Operational requirements including the speed to open and close and the frequency of cycling are needed for actuator selection.

A simple check list is available to guide you in providing the required technical information.

Modulation Duty

Aeon Kempster provides a valve sizing service using your up and down stream pressures at the maximum, normal and minimum flow conditions. Control signals and any accessories, such as position feedback, will also be taken into consideration.
